wintersday gifts
Hi i am sure this has been thought about and probably discussed before but i really would like to see wintersday gifts that you could make yourself, example when you get a birthday present on your chars birthday its in a box and you have no idea what it is. Kind of like you could go to an npc[gift wrapper] and he would wrap up gifts for you for lets say 100gold. and you could give them to your guildies or friends.
i'd love to do that for all my guildies ^^.

Opens up too much scam potential, imo.
for example: I've wrapped 100 gifts, one contains an Armbrace! Only 5k each! (with none of them including the Armbrace).
You're forgetting just how gullible/naive/eager/etc... some players can be. This would be yet another way the less moral among us could cheat the less cerebral.

Could be solved with different present "tiers"
Say you have some junk and some ectos (example)
Junk gets wrapped, GW automatically makes the present's text white, as in normal. Then you wrap an ecto or armbrace or whatever you will and the text of the present becomes gold. This can help sort it out some and prevent too much scamming...than again you could put gold weapons into it and say theres an armbrace and not being one. Oh well....
We ARE at the mercy of anet anyways... they don't listen to 99.99% of the suggestions on this forum anyways. .01% being probably the makeover pack.

/not signed. The scam potential alone makes this idea a bad one. And the color tier idea won't prevent the scamming.
WTS: GOLD 1,000 Christmas Presents - 10K ea One has a perfect req 8 VS!
If you want to randomly give out Christmas presents - just open a trade with someone, put the thing in the window, and tell them it's a freebie.

I can see the scam potential, but you must be an absolute moron to fall for it. I really hate this whole catering to the stupid thing games do nowdays, D2 was harsh, if you fell for any of that stupid shit you paid for it and moved on. Teachs you a lot faster than anything else tbh.
/signed because I like to give presents and don't care about scams because I won't fall for them. Might be selfish, but if you wanna pay 10k for a chance at a Q8 Vspear on the word of someone you don't know then you kind of deserve it.
